About Bambinos

Bambinos Without Borders is a happenstance of my experiences and adventures traveling across continents and oceans with children. And there’s been a lot of it! I hope to share with you some of my insights from life abroad, where local is wherever we are at the moment.

It’s about living a GLOBAL life with kids in tow.

It’s about being bold – being unafraid to go new places or try new things.

It’s about balance. And patience. And sometimes impatience.

It’s about being a part of the world where there are 7 million people just trying to live their lives every day, coexisting. And passing those values onto our children.

It’s about food. And drinks. And cake. (See “balance” above).

Part momming, part traveling, part foodie, part crafty.

My one and only rule here is just be a good person. All judgment and/or shaming WILL be left at the door. I DO NOT have time for that shit. I will hold you to the same standards I hold my kids: if you can do nothing else, be kind.

About Me

My passion for world travel began when I was 17 and set off for a semester abroad in Limerick, Ireland. Since then, I have traveled to over 20 countries – many of those trip with kids.

In my younger career, I was a Naval Flight Officer, navigating the EA-6B Prowler over Afghanistan and Iraq. My travels with the Navy inspired me to seek an advanced degree in International Relations with a focus in Development. This experience and education instilled in me a global mindset, that we not only need to take care of ourselves but the entire world around us as well.

I left the Navy in 2015 to start a new traveling chapter with my family. As part of the U.S. State Department’s Foreign Service, we currently live Yerevan, Armenia and are poised to move to Bogotá, Colombia by next summer.

I’ve been many people in my life, but right now I am Mama to two amazing little bambinos and I take great responsibility in raising them to be good humans.

The one thing that is constant in our life is change, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
